After a few failed attempts, I thought I have landed on a Prius I liked - a black 2010 Prius II with 44,000mi on it. Dealer was willing to drop from $18,200 OTD down to $15,500. I walked because I didn't think it was a good deal. Did I make a terrible mistake?

It's never too late if you truly like the car.

if the Prius that you're looking at does not have 3 driving modes 1 being EV mode and power mode and Eco mode then I would forget it I think you want something in the 2011 and above group I'd rather pay more and get more for my money I think he wanted too much for a car that's four years old

I think you did the right thing by walking, keep looking, there's a ton of Pri out there and eventually you will find the right one.if it has a moonroof and maybe it's a gen 4 car with a leather seats built in navigation and JBL sound then yes by all means you should I would reconsider but if it doesn't then you did the right thing by walking

I paid $15,500 for my 2010 Model IV (With Leather, Nav and the Sunroof). I really wanted these options and took them over buying a newer model.

I do believe other than the taillights and frontend, the 2010-13 are the same inside.

I've added HID lights, foglights and 18" rims and tires.

Also the factory JBL is one of the best factory radios I have heard.

Interesting. Was that the out the door price? I wouldn't mind a III in this price range if i can snag one, if only for bluetooth.

i guess for the most part I am also fishing for what y'all paid for yours, used!

2012 was a mid-cycle refresh for the interior too - The center armrest was shortened leaving the 2nd cupholder exposed for good. For Dark Gray interior, most of the dash and door panels became Black for 2012 whereas they were 'Gun Metal Gray' as i call it for 2010/11.

2012 brought the touchscreen interface even in the Two model. Three got you nav and entune with HD radio. The FM radio reception in my 2011 Three is pretty bad, lacks clarity. HD radio is a lot better.

2012 Fours and Fives gained Power adj driver's seat and Softex instead of leather and manual adj seat.

Seeing how the Prius doesn't hold their value like other Toyota cars I've owned I'd say offer them $14k OTD cash only!

Kelly Blue Book range ( with no added options ) is from $ 16,021( good condition ) to $ 17,519.00 ( better condition ).
    Fair purchase price is $ 16, 869.00, buying from a non-Toyota dealer.

    I would offer the dealer $ 14,500.00 TO $ 14,800.00 OTD.

I completely agree that the factory JBL is one of the best factory radios I too have ever heard. The bass that it produces still amazes me!
