as the question goes? Has anyone done such a mod to get auto-heated mirrors onto their non-C4 trim C? Sometimes I wish I had my wife's C4's auto-heated mirrors in those condensy mornings. Seems search is no use, everyone's doing any and every mod to their C except going for aftermarket/oem auto-heated side mirrors to their Cs.

Or are the lower trim Cs not wired for a quick oem auto-heated mirror replacement?

If you have a rear defogger/defroster, chances are the wiring for heated mirrors also exists.

In Canada, we get the cold-climate package, where even the lower trim levels get heated side mirrors as standard. My C2 has them- they are automatically activated when you turn on the rear-defroster.

Are they??? In all the times that I've used my defrosters, the condensation of the side mirrors never go away

I'm not sure why all cars don't have heated mirrors. It's a safety issue when moisture or ice obscures your vision rearward.

That and automatic headlights - can't be that expensive for the parts relative to safety it is worth.

Automatic headlights can suck it. most all Toyota's are pre wired for most all of the "simple" (same vehicle, higher trim/option package) upgraded components. Foglights, back up camera, folding mirror, heated mirror, parking sensors.

I'm a fan of automatic headlights. Had them on my last few vehicles. Before that, I was forever forgetting to turn them on or off.
