    Hello all, first real post.

I just washed our new Prius opt. pack 3 car for the first time ever, with my remote key in my pocket. Every time I hosed off the car anywhere near the door handles, the car would beep at me! Pretty weird. Beep, beep! Like it liked the water,, or,, maybe its like a cat, and it does NOT like getting wet! I thought maybe I should take the "key" out of my pocket, and set it far enough away from the car so it wouldn't be a beeping at me, but I was rushing around trying to keep the sun from spotting it, so i just kept letting it beep away when ever it got tickled with the water!

Any one else experience this? Is this normal? Weird beeping car! Tomorrow it gets is first clay bar & wax job. I wonder if it will purr like a kitten for that?:ROFLMAO:

Love the car so far though!

    Welcome to the forum.
Your "first real post" seems to have turned into 3 or 4 or 5 .......duplicates.

There are several bugs with the forum software; that is one of them.

PLEASE refresh your view of the thread before you assume that your post disappeared into the ether and post it again......and again.......and AGAIN !!! :)

Yeah it's best to put your fob away in secure spot when washing the car. It's mentioned in the manual, somewhere. Anytime a decent jet of water hits the door handle it's going to relock.

All the time the fob's in proximity to the (shut down) car I believe the two are doing some sort of electronic handshake thing too, using both parties batteries.

Sorry about the multiple posts. Hopefully someone corrected (deleted) the others. (If not, i will try to). I clicked on "post", and,, it did nothing, after waiting quite a while. So I tried again, ,, and again, until it finally went. So,, what do you do if you hit "post", and it just sits there? Wait it out,, shut it down???
