Shark fin antenna....how did you get your stock antenna of and does this one work as a real antenna ?

 

The shark fin attaches over the base of the stock antenna. The whip gets unscrewed and there's a coil inside the shark fin that attaches to the OEM base.

 

well dang i didnt know that....so all the carbon fiber ones you see on ebay go over your stock like that? I had just ordered and carbon whip last week lol

 

So what does it mean by dummy? When i install will my radio signal still come through with this over my factory one?

I should clarify. Anything that says 'dummy' in the title won't be a functional antenna, just a shell. It will not provide any radio reception.

This should give you some idea.


The dummy antenna, like the one you posted won't have any electronics inside, it'll just be a hollow piece.
