It's very simple. Users will leave this website if it becomes unpalatable to them. Too much advertising has killed the golden goose before.

For anyone who feels that way......for whatever reason......I can suggest an alternative Prius site.......that needs users.
    Seriously.

PriusChat locked my browser once again this morning. That's IE 11. Once it happens, scroll bars don't work, nothing's clickable, window can't be shifted around the desktop. Even clicking upper right corner X to close the browser not working, at first. After about 30 seconds a second click does shut it down.

    So ??
Reporting that will accomplish exactly nothing.
    Microsoft doesn't care.
The other software developers don't care either.......as long as their product works good with a couple of other browsers.
    SAD situation.
I am in the process of converting to Chrome for most things.
Alas, some features here don't work right with IT either......and nobody seems to care about that either.

When a list of posts is displayed, if you point at one does it pop up a message preview "baloon" ?
That works for me with IE but not with Chrome.

This update completely killed (what was left of) the RSS feed. Is this a temporary or permanent change? Am I the only one who cares?

I haven't been using the RSS feed here, preferring the web interface or Tapatalk, but I set it up last night in Thunderbird using the feed address of PriusChat (hover over the link to see the actual RSS feed URL). This morning I had 49 messages listed, which corresponded with the total of New Posts at the PriusChat website.

What problems are you having with the feed?

I'm using NetNewsWire and it's reporting that the server isn't responding. I will erase the old link and try adding it again this evening.

It's getting so every other time I visit the site everything, including the browser, just sorta seizes. Just a hunch it's a problem with the top of page loading.

I've had occasion to correct several past tables:
    1. removed any "," - these are treated as column separators
    2. replace "table" tag with "table=head" - the first row becomes the header
    3. remove all "[tr][td]" and make new lines - starts each data row
    4. replace "[td]" with "|" - separates each column
    5. replace "[th]" with "|" - separates the original header columns
I do not know if there is a global replace function in the new software. Right now, I would have to search for "[tr][td]" to find the old tables and then converter each one. But if there is no mass converter (aka., 'sed' editor or equivalent,) this provides a way to make a scrambled tables into something readable. For example, the past "dashboard" summaries.

Of all the new table functions, the two that would be nicest to change:
    • eliminate the "," as a column separator - the "," in a number makes larger ones easier to understand especially left justified, the default.
    • some form of global format to left, center, or right justify fields - right now, each field has to be justified one-by-one and the default is left justify. In a perfect world, the column justification could be done AFTER the header for a column. But in today's world, we do it field-by-field.
For those interested in a simple set of table instructions:
    1. Each line starts a new row
    2. "table=head" tag lets the first row become the header, centered fields, bold
    3. Separate columns with "|". However, "," also works. No leading column separator
    4. Default, all data fields are left justified, lower case
    GOOD LUCK!

Re-inventing the website alphabet just for "change sake" doesn't make people speel (ha,ha) any better.

Home page still locking. Once it starts, need to shut down browser and restart, then it usually is ok. Again, this is IE11.
