Alas, the cause of that probably is at YOUR END.
It looks like you need to do some serious cleanup......starting with cleaning out all your cookies and temp files.
And I think I said before......if you are expecting help from the site owner, don't hold your breath.
    HEY......some things DO get fixed.
The "message preview" now works with Chrome.
Thanks to whoever got that working.
I just found out by accident.

Yep, I see the same message quite often here with Vista/IE11 and Google.

Why did you choose XenForo rather than more commonly used Forum Software?

I switched the site to XenForo 2 years ago and have been very happy since the change. Attached is a very interesting set of charts. Take a look at Commercial Forum Platforms. In January, vBulletin was at almost 70%. They are losing 1% market share every month. XenForo is picking up most of that market.

vBulletin's latest release, 5.1.x, is only installed on 0.6% of all vBulletin sites. Which means that no one is buying the new version of their software. It's awful.

vBulletin is dying. I'm glad PriusChat got off that sinking ship.

On a happy note, Similar Threads is back! You should see similar thread suggestions at the bottom of each thread as you're reading, and a list of related threads will show up as you post a new thread to make sure that what you're posting hasn't already been covered.

Lockup at the homepage, coupled with "Priuschat is not responding to a long running script..." continues unabated, with Internet Explorer. More-or-less stops the browser.

You seem to be really fond of beating a dead horse. How long will it be before you realize that Danny isn't going to spend one second trying to solve compatibility problems with IE 11 and do something to help yourself? Have you cleaned out your cookies and local cache yet ? If not, you should stop wasting our time with your complaints. Two reasonable choices exist: Change browsers or stop coming here.

So far, the new software seems pretty good. Takes a little getting used to, but overall a very smooth rollout. As with some of the Android version adoptions, I can see Vbulletin having the same issues. It's especially bad when a new version stumbles, and many admins are still having issues with the old versions. Some of this stuff isn't cheap to begin with, and at some point, you just have to stop funding bad software.

Speaking of bad software. IE11 seems to be taking a page from the old days of IE. MS still thinks they can drive sales by manipulating (forcing) their view of the Internet on everyone else. I use Safari, Firefox, Chrome, and never use any version of IE anymore. I appreciate the way these browsers are updated, and I appreciate that they don't try to force their own strategic setups on everyone. Internet life is so much easier and happier without IE, which creates massive problems for everyone with each failed update.

As I noted in another thread, users are finally catching on. According to the latest numbers, IE is down to about 25% share of the browser market.

I'm reporting problems in the hopes that the site's administrators might look into it. In particular this "long running script".

Seems you've appointed yourself moderator of this thread, congrats I guess.

As it's been for the last 20 years, most of the problems are IE, not the site. Unfortunately for Microsoft, nobody really wants or needs to change their lives around Microsoft anymore. They tried once again with IE11 to tie people into their proprietary models. But ale, they only PO'd more people, who hate it. The Internet has has standards for quite some time, Microsoft chose not to follow them.

I cannot for the life of me see any need to use IE. But you should ask Micrsoft support about your issues, I'm sure they'll help :)

Amazing that a phone or tablet works better LOL

The "long running script" has nothing to do with Prius Chat and EVERYTHING to do with the user's computer system. Maybe even something not directly related to IE. As such, the "administrators" can't do anything to help.

I use this site on several different computers and an iPhone, all using chrome. Everything works flawlessly.

BTW, I'm so glad this site runs on XenfForo. vBulletin is soooo old school.

Just a gentle reminder: The ability to collapse forums on the main page is nice, but its not very useful unless it gets remembered.

so, watched threads from mobile devices are now useless, the threads always start on the first page for me, instead of on the first unread message, and there's no link to jump to the first unread post either.
no such problems on a desktop browser.
    what gives?

The site runs fine in IE now, since I installed adblock. Prior to that, I had about a one in four chance of the front page loading. The smoking gun appears to be the moving banner ad at top of page.

If the ads on this site are driving users to block ads, just to be able to access the site, it begs some questions.
