No, they don't have the reflectors on the side. That said, the chances of being stopped because of that are very slim. Lots of members are using those lights.

At least these have rear reflectors, unlike the totally blacked out taillight covers or tints.

You can make them legal if you stick retro-reflectors on the side of the bumpers, but I wouldn't bother given that nobody to date has been pulled over for having the SB lights. In fact, you're more likely to be cited for illegally tinted front windows.

I want the look of this but I also want to save myself from the hassle of being pulled over for this tail light. Also I don't want to be blamed if ever I get into an accident. I'm also worried on how to replace the bulbs, when it gets busted after the warranty is over.

Like 32K, I was one of the original testers for these Valenti taillights. 32K tested the "red" version and I tested the smoked version. Not sure of when that was, probably 2 years ago, but I haven't had one run-in with Johnny Law yet (knock on wood). I agree with 32K... you'll probably have a higher chance of getting pulled over for tinted windows than for these lights.

They still have fully exposed rear reflectors so you won't be found at fault if you get rear ended. It's moot anyway as you can't be found at fault for any reason when it comes to being rear ended, even if you slam on the brake for a silly reason.

They're LEDs so they should last the life of the car. LEDs typically fail prematurely (in which case you'd be covered under the one year warranty) or last for the life of the car.

The red reflectors in the back are easy to see and really red. 2010? Prius tail lights didn't come with any red lens on it other than the reflectors.

So far so good for me. Last week i had two burbank moto cops on my tail, but they were probably tied up with Obama being in town for the Leno show.

I'm contemplating on adding side reflectors on the bumper...can't hurt legally, just aesthetically. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1351807934.312187.jpg

HID plug n play kits are also illegal yet u don't see people getting pulled over for having them so getting pulled over for having the Valenti tail lights are slim to none.

Here in PA, you'd be pulled over in a heartbeat. They pull you over if you have 35% tint. Any reason to get a ticket adds to their stats and makes them look like they're working. If they have no or little stats for the month, they get in trouble. I know people in law enforcement.

I'm just letting you know, because in california you might be ok. Police are more worried about criminals, and the car scene is more prominent there. But if you leave the state, interstate cops will use it as an excuse to pull you over and fine you.
