Yea, but I think trying to get 99+ mpg while usually in a hurry to the next destination with about a 2:8 electric to gas ratio is just for dreaming .

'In a hurry' and 'California traffic' are probably the main forces preventing you from reaching these numbers.

TRIPBSGII.jpg.JPG TRIPASGII.jpg.JPG On yesterday morning's commute I was practicing my hypermiling skills- The Scangauge II said I got 80 mpg using my 2010 Toyota Prius III going to work using my normal 15.8 mile commute (65 degrees Fahrenheit - 6am-6:45am with an overall drop of 300 feet in elevation no rain ) the onboard computer Trip B estimated a slightly higher at 83.4 mpg. I was shooting for 99.9 mpg so I wasn't really happy with the outcome - my results were about 10 mpg below my best and 5 mpg below my par. My 2010 Prius on board computer Trip A estimates a 66 mpg for +400 miles but usually it is about 3 mpg too high. Last summer I had two 68 mpg tanks about 3 mpg below my best. However, I'm a skilled hypermiler so my fuel efficiency results are higher than normal. I am still using the original Yokohama Avid S33d tires and the dealership auto mechanic said that it looks like I never used my brake pads... Attched are photos of the results ...

Anyone can get +100 mpg on a Prius if they are only on EV mode for a few seconds ... :)

Due to a bad fill, 10.9 gallons, USA, but it was a driving 'stunt.'

In my old 2005 prius, regular daily commute. Really had to work at it hard tho.
Work at it a bit, you will find that you to can do better.
    Enjoy Your car!:)

Almost always have time for some of it. It isn't an all-or-nothing thing, but has a broad menu with many options, select what fits the situation.
