Hello Priuschat! I am considering selling my Prius which is getting up there in miles, and either buying a plug-in vehicle or a diesel vehicle to replace it. I wanted to get some input on what I should price the vehicle at. It is a Blizzard Pearl 2010 Prius V (five) with Advanced Technology package. It has 108,000 miles. The exterior is probably about an 8 out of 10, very good condition considering how many miles it has. The interior is probably an 8.5 out of 10. I looked up the value on Edmunds, which was $17,091 and on KBB, which was $14,097. $3,000 is quite a big difference. I was looking on auto trader to find comps, but there aren't any close to me with that many miles. The closest thing I could find is a five with ATP with 72,000 miles that is listed for $17,984. What do you think I should get for it? Thanks- Brian

I'd say in the Private party marketplace right now, KBB figure looks more like the price you'll get. List it for $16000 and see what offers you get.

I just got a 2010 II, better cosmetic condition, same color with 112K for $10K in cash.
I would say $15-16K is reasonable. But some banks (mine is Chase) does not offer loan to the buyer if the seller is private party. Other banks may vary.
    Good luck selling!

:)Plug in vehicle or keep what you have. Quickest way to feel "buyers remorse" is purchasing a diesel vehicle, after several full tank fill ups. Diesel vehicle fuel mileage is only marginally better than gas, but diesel fuel is insanely expensive. I speak from experience as a two week ex, 15 year diesel vehicle(s) owner.
