You are being needlessly argumentative. The point was a comment about standardization among manufacturers. I punctuated the point with examples where manufacturers have agree to a standard, and I stated: " left hand drive; emission standards; safety standards; fuel standards; metric screws and bolts (foreign made); safety glass standards ..... I could go on, but you get the point."

Perhaps I am too argumentative, but I always feel the need to correct misinformation. Like when people quote Thomas Jefferson talking about banks using inflation to destroy paper money (he said no such thing). Or President Obama claiming children belong to the state, not parents (He too said no such thing). Or that Sony's Betamax failed because they banned nude video (never happened). That's how false history/urban legends get spread. :D

This looks like it'll cost about $1,000 to manufacturers according to their VP of marketing. I can only imagine how much Toyota will ask as an option. I'll be able to put in a heck of a L2 charger for that.

Nice idea, but like toll roads, you would be charged to log on and use it... Lots of hackers would attempt to skirt around it.

I've thought about this in the home /everywhere but like wifi they would want to control it... Someone ultimately supplies the electricity for the inductance to happen.... I could see tons of theives trying to power their house and business with it too... Through the prius or whatever car if nothing else.

Lots if intelligent people have no friends because they are constantly correcting them micromanaging their very thought processes.

There's many paradigms and ways to skin a cat that achieves the same goals.

Some intelligent people can be too tunnel visioned condemning anything that doesn't align with their thought processes "like engineers ' and so they miss the truth standing right in front of them" like the pharasees "

    People are emotional creatures.

Ever heard of winning the battle but losing the war? ☺

Sorry for the diversion to give a life lesson!

Debate is a fulfillment factor we encounter here often. They enjoy posting to particular threads (battle).

Refusal to look at the big picture (war) is usually the give away that they are just in it for the debate.

In the newspaper today that in April, 2015 Toyota is coming out with the fuel cell. That will be game changer for everything.

Yes, you certainly have a point there.
