Renovo Reveals 500-hp Electric SuperCar | TheDetroitBureau.com No mention of range in the article. Somehow, this sounds like another Bob Lutz scheme. Bob Wilson
What pisses me off is seeing EVs with a front radiator or air scoop. The EV1 had it right: I hate seeing what looks like a parachute at the front of any EV including this one: But then I think this is a pretty airplane: No stinkin', noisy, engine . . . Bob Wilson
yep Renovo Coupe electric supercar offers 500 HP for just $529,000 [w/video] 100 mile range They started with a shelby, so it looks like a shelby, which was designed for a heavy breating ice. compared to the leaf, i3, imev, etc and even the ev1 its beutiful. But this is simply the original tesla roadster plan, but more expensive as they want to make money from the first car.
Another napkin drawing..... Other than a claimed 0-60 of less than 3 and a half seconds the only thing impressive about this concept is the price. One tenth of the Revo's asking price will buy a car that is superior in all aspects of performance except the 0-60 specification. If you want to splurge, one fifth of the Revo's price will buy you a GT-R that will not only get to 60 MPH a full second faster, but also leave you with enough change to get a Prius to put in the garage for Monday through Friday driving. I'm thinking that a functional air inlet might be useful for not only air conditioning, but for the battery deck as well.....but I'm not an engineer nor do I play one on TV. WRT the EV1? I know appearances are subjective, but those guys make my G3 look much better! THIS is a little closer to what the EV1 should have looked like, and I'm not especially wild about the Volt. ...and THIS is what an EV super-car SHOULD look like instead of a kit-car wannabe! YMMV!
I rather save a few more pennies... if I can even afford such things... and buy a Porsche 918 instead.
but Bob ... doesn't the Bugatti Veyron have the similar parachute grill goin' on at the front end? Last time I checked, it didn't seem to slow it down too much. That said, if I had a cool million that I just had to waste on an impractical 1,000 hp vehicle ... it'd be electric. Think ""Rimac" Rimac Concept One - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia .
I'm into efficiency and minimizing cooling drag. So I'm a fan of variable air inlet and exit vanes: Bob Wilson
