    Hey everyone...

I have been noticing a squeaking sound lately, and looking for opinions on what it might be. I notice it most when parked in the garage and I am getting out of the car (obviously with the car in Park). It seems to happen when the car rolls slightly, forward and back against. I tried to take a video to capture the sound. The car was parked and shut off, and I was pushing the car forward and back to recreate the sound. The sound SEEMS to come from the front (maybe the right front), but it is not easy to tell.

Could this be the brake wear indicators? Do the stock brake pads have this feature? I am at about 43000 miles, so I wouldn't expect the brakes to be worn yet.

One update - before I got in my car after work today at 5pm (the video was shot after my lunch hour at about 1:00pm), I tried rocking the car forward and back before I got in, and it didn't seem to make the noise. So it may only do it when the car is warmed up...

Really? It is kind of quiet in the video, but it is a high-pitched, nails on a chalkboard sort of sound...

Maybe - as I mentioned in the earlier posts, it seems like it only makes the sound when the car is warm. It does sound like a "frictional" sound...

if we keep chatting about it, it will stay on the first page, and maybe someone else will chime in. it's pretty quiet her on the weekends.

My shop's loaner (a 2011) does this as well. I'll pull it in and investigate (I forgot about it until now)...stay tuned.

Update: front left lower control arm bushing (front or rear, can't tell). NBD if it is the same for you. I'd be really surprised if you wore down the brakes enough to make noise in 43k miles but stranger things have happened

Awesome of you to check this! Thanks!

That is not a sign of it wearing out, it's it? Just a squeak?
