    2006 Prius here.
    Need all new tires.
    Tire Kingdom recommends Michelin Premier A/S ( 205 / 60R15 = little wider than stock )
    My previous tires: Michelin Pilots 205 / 60R15 ).
I like my tires wider than stock because I drive on freeways and feel safer with a wider tire.
I understand wider tires affect MPG negatively.
Will buy tomorrow at Tire Kingdom.

    Please Advise.

Thank you all so very much!

    My 2 cents.

Buy the Michelin Defender instead. Better tire wear rating (820 vs 640 for the Premier A/S) and $25 cheaper per tire.

If Tire Kingdom doesn't sell the Defender, shop somewhere else.

Well I'm a premier fan right now. They've got tread that supposedly gets better as it wears, very good traction/breaking, and rolling resistance should be lower than the Defender.

We've got pilots right now, thinking the next tire'll be Premier, so have a selfish interest: if you go with Premier would like to hear how it works out.

The OP stated that the tire store recommends the Premiers. Cha-Ching!

Premier A/S vs Defender .... Which handles better?
