    Thought I'd introduce myself as a new Prius owner. Recently purchased a used 2004 Prius with 120,000 miles on it. The service records were great and the vehicle seems to be running like a champ. Just changed the spark plugs, air filter and cabin air filter. Will be changing the PCV and tranny fluids this weekend. Ordered the tranny fluid off Amazon (ATF WS) for 37 bucks + free shipping for 4 quarts. Look forward to a long run with this car.

    congrats! my neighbor has my old '04 with similar miles, i agree, cars going to be around a long time. might be the best year they made. just an absolute tank. all the best!(y)

    You think so. I've heard you should never buy the first year run of a new model or style.

    true in some cases, but toyota pulled out all the stops to make sure it would be long term reliable to build a rep for future sales. it soon became known to everyone that these cars are beasts.
