Did anyone else get the letter in the mail about the new 15 year unlimited mileage inverter warranty? Mine showed up a couple days ago.

Yes. Everyone who receives the software update gets the inverter warranty extension.

Hmm, I wonder if that includes Canada. Probably not, eh. ;)

I don't see why not. Has anyone from Canada received the warranty sticker to add to the manual? It took about four months before I received mine...

It should be global in my opinion. Actually the inverter should be replaced with a version that handles higher current instead of the turd software flash.

I got the inverter recall letter in March, 2014. Nothing since, regarding warranty extension, eh.

I agree. I was not at all happy with knowing that my car was driven for over a year with this problem. It is very likely that the inverter suffered some consequence that would lead to a potential failure, in the future. We are talking about an extremely expensive component, after all! However, I think the 15 year/unlimited mileage warranty offered by Toyota was fair. Now, if something similar were to happen with the transaxle, and they extended that warranty for 15 years, I would keep the car in the family until 2028!

I suspect inverters that have been subject to frequent leadfoot acceleration prior to getting the software update are most failure prone.

(That doesn't excuse Toyota, just saying.)

I received the EoE recall letter around April 2014, had my recalled performed Jun 5th, 2014. I have not seen a letter on the warranty extension yet.

You should, absent major crash damage. Does Toyota know you have this cars, and did they send you the recall notice for both?

same here. toyota has some communication issues. i just received a letter for yet another recall on toyota (i did 5 recalls on 3 toyotas last year, gets old soon), it didn't say which toyota. i went to toyotaowners website and shows no recalls outstanding. what gives?
i understand that GM pays $25 for owners bringing cars back for recent recalls. toyota should do it too as it's a major time waste.

I had the recall done the week that it came out. I just received the letter last week. It seems like it's a very specific issue that has to happen for them to take care of it though.

Problem with that GM $25 gift card, it was during the salt season for us up north. Our Saturn's are stored every winter along with my Prius ;)
