Akil, Im partial to the grey Touring edition because first of all, I love that color and second, its newer. It seems a lot of times traction batteries tend to fail more with age these days vs. miles. I know it has slightly more miles, but being a Touring it will have a few nicer options.

Question: How much are the sellers asking?

^agreed! I would also go for the 2007, not that there's anything wrong with The 2005 me and my sister both have 2005's. But less age is better when it comes to the battery. No issues yet on either of them. Although I found a great deal on a 2008 HV battery and replaced mine with it at 238,000 miles. Best tip to new prius owner,, check your oil regularly!! Prii do tend to use oil. Good luck, you will never regret going Prius.

UPDATE: Ladies and gents, I went ahead and purchased the 2007 Prius Touring. I think it's the Level 4, since it has everything but leather seats. There's no way for me to tell really. It drives beautifully! Thanks to everyone for their inputs.

Congratulations, Akil, you got a loaded car with "low" miles at a very good price. I'm glad we were able to reassure you that you didn't need to spend more than that to get a car that will make you happy for years to come. Frankly, this is a good time to buy Prii on the used market. The depreciation was a long time coming, but the two of us are proof that finally, we can avoid the "hybrid premium". Time and again, people are concluding that NOTHING else is an economically or practically superior choice than the Gen II at this price.

My hope for the future is that the upcoming Gen IV turns out to be a car I'll want when its time to replace my 2005. I am concerned after seeing the latest Camry and Corolla front end styling. Every day I pray that the last-minute restyling delay was not to give the Prius a Toyota family resemblance...

But back on topic, I wish you the same kind of stress-free motoring that is the typical experience of Prius owners.

Congrats! You'll love it! If it has everything but leather, you have a package 5 model. Does it have navigation?

    Post photos!
