Rob's 2011 JDM Inspired Prius Modellista Build - The MPGstunna

Last October I put on a 12mm ichiba v1 spacer in the rear.



After a lot of months of watching yahoo auctions Japan, I bid on Prius G head and tail lights. I sold the plugin tails to a fellow priuschat member.



I installed the tails first.

 

Thanks, man! Turns out there's 2 versions of the Prius G headlights. Most people who have them stateside, have the dark chrome one. The pair I have is black inside the housing, in case you are interested getting them.

Sorry, I sold these not too long ago.

I took another trip to visit Sean D, master installer last December. He installed the Prius G headlights.

When I bid on these G parts, the guy selling them was parting out the whole car cheap! I regret not getting other parts. I was having a bidding war at 3am. lol Not gonna say how cheap I got these for, though. Let's just say I got a deal.

The headlights were pretty complete and I only needed to buy a harness and some new Morimoto 5K hid bulbs.





There is a little drl led strip on the bottom of the headlight.



Ain't nothin' but a G thang, baaaaabay!




I did a little trade the next week with a fellow priuschat member and got his modellista front lip spoiler. Had the shop fix, repaint, and install.

I was a bit nervous at first, but I followed this guide:

I'm not exactly sure how accurate it is because ever since I got wheels, my speedometer is 3 mph off. Wonder if this can be fixed.

My last tank read 425 with 2 bars. Almost never go below 2 bars because I'm paranoid. Lol

I would if I were gonna go blacked out everything, but am gonna get some brushed aluminum wheels in Spring. Gonna carefully balance and change up some chrome accents.

 

I can't feel any difference from when I didn't have a spacer. Fyi, I think you can put a larger spacer back there, I just played it safe with the 12mm.

Knocked out some Saturday projects. Gonna rain, so please don't mind dirty car.

Vinyl backed emblems, JDM premium horn install, and new wiper delete.

After all fees and stuff, I paid around 49.66 total through buyee. Got to me in a week. I know it's a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it.
