Just my opinion. I would buy new tires. When I go on a trip or drive at highway speeds I don't want to even have to think about my tires.

based on what the OP explained, the tire is OK and should be usable to 8 years, after that there is increased risk. what is the speed rating of this tire?

I had some GY Comfortreds on the rear about 90000 miles and maybe it was 5.5 yrs. Tread looked OK but day before I was scheduled to put on new Tire Rack tires was rainy and my wife spun out with a little fender bender. I'd have felt better if I'd had the new tires on there.

Probably not a problem if it has been stable for over a year and if you can't see anything but rubber looking into it in good lighting. I'd watch to make sure it doesn't start growing.

i looked it up. it's V-rated, excellent. the NHTSA study on tread separation showed that the tire aging problem was mostly limited to south USA (=high temps), low speed rating (=low quality), and some brands (again, low quality).
