With a truck, everyone wants to be your "friend" and borrow it at inconvenient times or have you help them move I've noticed in the past…

Prius, not so much. so its a win win!;)

Ive hauled 32 (1'x1') patio pavers along with a few bags of landscape stone in the hatch of my old prius three a couple yrs ago(y). She was sagging like a thugs pants in the rear but handled the drive home just fine!:ROFLMAO:

One of the reasons I bought the truck was for doing some landscaping work. I'd go to Home Depot, buy block, rocks, cement, sand, etc. and limp home with the rear tires almost touching the inside of the rear fenders and my rear view mirror focused on the front bumper and license plate of the vehicle behind me. After the third trip a friend told me that for $35 Home Depot would deliver all I needed in one trip. No wear and tear on me or my truck. Yet another head smack. Doh!

Also, Pls consider a rubber rear cargo tray. The Toyota one is nice and functional as it splits into 2 pieces when you need to access the storage area… It protects the hatch when hauling weird stuff and it's easy to clean and stuff doesn't slide around as much.

Thanks. Added moving blankets for the back seats and cargo areas. Don't plan to haul anything too weird. Back also have the rear floor mat. Did a search from Prius on craigslist in the auto parts section. A lot of stuff for sale there including mats, cargo covers, etc.

Minor comment in all this, especially about how you live in a hot place. And that you're stuffing the car with your gear.

On the right side of the car, passenger seat, there's a vent. Air goes in there and cools the traction battery. It's mentioned in the manual somewhere, but, really, don't block that vent. Especially when you load up the car.

People who drag hairy shedding dogs around sometimes clog up that vent, the fan, and the air channels that run from back there into the traction battery. This is followed by Evil.

There's some thought that turning on the air conditioning helps keep the battery cool by providing cool air in the passenger compartment that then gets blown through the battery.

Yep, thanks. Know about the vent. When I was looking at the Gen II's I read and saw about the fan clogging, etc.

I see information on the forums for towing with a Prius lift back I know I ask this before but is there any forum information on towing with a Prius C? This is what I am thinking of towing:

Just back from a nice 260-mile mountain road road-trip and FINALLY took a snap of my Prius. I LOVE the cruise control in the mountains.
