I'm going to take a stab in the dark here. Assuming this tech knows what he's doing with your car. He probably disconnected your HV battery. There's an orange service plug on your hv battery that needs to be locked in before your car starts.

Put the orange service plug into the battery, tilt it up, and then PRESS DOWNWARD to lock it down. If the tech didn't press the orange plug downward to lock it, your car will not start.

you load the tech stream software on your laptop. this is specific to all toyota vehicles and what the dealers use. then you use the mini vci to connect the laptop to the obd II port under the steering wheel. it takes you through the process, and if the car has thrown any trouble codes, it takes you through a fault tree, drilling down to the specific problems.

yes, you can reset as well. if thats all you want to do, you can get a simpler obd II reader like scan gauge II. it will read basic codes and reset.

    1. Is the new inverter coolant pump operating? Can you see fluid turbulence in the inverter coolant reservoir when you make the Prius IG-ON?
    2. If not, check the 15A AM2 fuse now. "Check" means that you measure continuity using an ohmmeter. Do not rely upon a visual inspection.

Sounds like you need Mini VCI to obtain the diagnostic trouble codes. While you are waiting, put a charger on the 12V battery and make sure it is fully-charged - or if it won't hold a charge, get a new battery. The idea is to eliminate the 12V battery as a potential problem area.

Also, check the fusible link assembly which is located in the main relay/fuse box next to the inverter. That assembly is around 5" long and has a clear plastic cover. Look into the assembly for any burnt fuse links. If you see any, the entire assembly will need to be replaced. Also if you see a burnt link, there is a good chance that the battery polarity was reversed when the car was jump started.

You won't know one way or the other, until you are able to retrieve DTC logged by the hybrid vehicle ECU and traction battery ECU.
