I have a 2010 Toyota Prius, brough it Certified Used in Oct 2013.
As per my knowledge it has 8 yrs/100K mile Hybrid System Warranty and Powertrain for 7yrs/100K miles

Currently its 5 years on my vehicle and 61K miles, do you all think should i buy some extended warranty, if yes which one should i go for

I vote against buying any type of warranty. Put that $1500 you would use into the rainy day fund, when something actually breaks.

What JC91006 said. If that extended warranty is a good deal for you then why are they selling it? Look at what the extended warranty covers and DOESN'T cover. How many of those covered parts do you expect to fail under the extended warranty?

I would not invest in the extended warrenty but would have the money saved instead incase something breaks. Also just so you know toyota extended the Inverter warrenty to 15 years unlimited miles, i recieved letter from toyota with the sticker and i know that part if fails could cost you around $5000

As long you keep up with your maintenance, is should be fine, Im on CPO 8 yr/100k for Hybrid, 7yr/100k Powertrain and 15yr/unlimited for the Inverter , my CPO expires in < 23k miles or 2017, i'm not going to extend mine, however you should make good use of it if and when anything goes wrong before it expires, so far i haven't used my warrenty yet.
