Newbie from Southern Cali.

Hello folks! I've been lurking around for a good while now, and finally decided to join. My wife has a 2012 PIP and loves the car. So far I've installed widow visors had tint put in changed interior exterior lights to LEDs and switched the headlights over to hids. It's her daily and didn't want me getting crazy with modifications. Recently she's had a change of heart and has given me the green light to do a little more. I plan on lowering it on tanabe springs, changing wheels/tires with 5mm spacers in the rear, and installing an aftermarket foglight kit. I hope with lots of reading and searching, and of course with your tips and recommendations she'll have a sweet looking car.

 

thanks guys! Been doing some reading and trying to figure out which lowering springs would be best for pip. I spoke with a Tanabe representative earlier today and says he's not sure if the springs they have would work. He also told me to look up part numbers on the stock coil springs for the years they have available. i noticed that the front springs from 10-14 models are the same but the 12' pip has a different part number? just worried about the extra weight and i don't want to work on something that will not fit. what springs would be best for daily/ occasional mountain driving?

 

thanks for the info guys! i recently purchased the foglight lights and grill did the install but ran into problems with the wiring due to a factory installed alarm. i should be able to finish the wiring by next weekend. also i purchased a set of enkei rfs5 and 5mm wheel spacers for the rear will be installing after i install the lowering springs.
