    Seems like you're on the right track. Maybe try a real fine sand paper and wet sand it. Maybe with some rubbing compound and go real light and sand in the direction of the pattern. And yeah, tell that gf to be mindful of the ride and be careful ; )

    Yes and i will sand it more down to make it completely smooth so its more scrach resistant. If it works i will begin doing it on other parts of the interior.

    Yes i will try that, and i said if she isn't carefull next time, she can sand the whole car ;)

    Before you do that why don't you trying using ArmorAll Cleaning Wipes or a similar product.
