My seat lowers on its own over night

    I have a 2014 PIP with manual seat height adjustment. I have noticed that the seat lowers on its own overnight. I mentioned to a service rep when I brought my car in for service one time and the dealer could not find anything wrong with my seat. Do you guys have similar experiences with your seats? Since my seat lowers only after a long period of time, I don't think my dealer can really find the problem right away. Do you guys have any suggestion that I can direct my dealer to find the problem?

    yes, leave it at the dealer overnight. if you put it all the way up at the end of the day, is it all the way down in the morning?

    i'm not familiar with the mechanism, so not sure what is going on. does it lower at all when you sitting in it, or from morning to night?

    could someone be spoofing you?

    It does not lower when I sit on it. It only happens for longer period.

    (AMC Gremlins did not have adjustable seat height!)

    You sure someone else isn't playing tricks on you, or someone tall isn't using your car?

    Yes, make an investigation on all tall persons around and check whether one of them uses your car when you are not there, or are sleeping...

    It's a ratcheting mechanism, it would be highly unlikely to be losing it's height adjustment on its own. :confused:

    You must be shrinking overnight. :D

    I believe it's a airbag, so you may have a slow leak.

    My 2013 Liftback 2 does the same thing especially if I have the seat bottom in the higher range.
