ok just confirmed the park to D and yes you have to push the brakes again to put it back to Drive or you will hear 3 beeps telling you that you have to put your foot on the brake to switch to Drive.

Now I have a question does your car jerk after you put the car into Park? or is it just my car?

    Sounds like just your car.

Mine might roll a little until it hits the parking pawl. It might bounce if I did it on a slope. Usually I leave my right foot on the brake and engage the parking brake whilst switching the car off.

But for a Prius to jerk when you put the car in Park? That doesn't sound right.

yup, in fact, some recommend it because, they sometimes hit park, forget to power down, and walk away. hitting power accomplices both.

Same story. If I don't have the parking brake on I get an earful.
