Well it only comes in two colors, the bright red and the Blizzard Pearl White.

The white adds like $300 to the red Persona's price for some reason.... It's a metallic paint I guess.

I think msrp is 28400?? Minus the discounts.

And pls forgive my terrible spelling on the last post. Autocorrect!! lol.

Wrapped in 3m high Gloss vinyl. I'm cheap. Lol. Can't get the Persona with the solar option. Only on the three's and the Four's as an option....not even the fives....

Haha. That's the just washed high Gloss wrap.

Thanks for the compliment as that's the look I was going for ;)

And you can too.... Just go trade that beast in, go pick up the BP Persona and have the roof wrapped in Gloss black...

    The rest is history :)

I'll have to check my file cabinet but for some reason 26400 sticks in my mind, which kinda makes sense as that's like 2k off msrp and I opted for the 0.9% for 60.... Which little did I know changed to 0% for 60 for all Prius the next day (I bought on the last day of the month and it changed on the first... lol)

Even though I didn't get the crazy low rate/price like you might I am still happy.

It prob was because they gave me a higher trade value on my Charger is what I'm thinking....

    image.jpg image.jpg

Ran outside to get pics of the interior just for you...

I think I can only get 30% here in WI.

    iPhone ?

Spoke to my insurance. Going from a 4Runner to a Prius means my rates would go up by $170/year. They are unable to tell me why. What the heck?

You will not realize any savings with the short drive. The low depreciation on the 4runner will work in your favor. I would never give up a 4runner for a prius, especially if there's no money savings

They are cars filled with expensive technology that's expensive to fix or replace if you get in an accident, etc..

Like I said I had a 2014 Charger RT Plus and I think my insurance even went up a few bucks, Crazy as it sounds... Dyno'd at 415 hp to a darn Hybrid and yeah it went up a bit.

But for you it's like what $14 per month more?

There are huge savings for me as a matter of fact. I owe $13k. 4Runner is a $32k trade in minus the $23k Prius Persona I have my eyes on. Gas savings alone are close to $1,500/year. As far as the remaining amount I would owe on a loan. That would go down to around $4k and that would be paid off by January.

    iPhone ?

Doesn't sound too bad I was just surprised. I am going to the dealer on Saturday. Will keep you posted!

    iPhone ?

How much would a set of Blizzaks cost? Would those be the best ones to get?

    iPhone ?

Forgot to ask does the Persona come with led headlights, does it have foglights? If not I will swap my 5000k HID bulbs that are the same size as in my 4Runner.

I use Michelin X-Ice XI3 snow tires, and they worked spectacularly. I bought those because Tirerack said they were the ones that drive most like all-seasons when driving on the road with no snow/ice. It handled snow/ice okay for me, again, so long as the snow wasn't too deep. Oftentimes I was more worried about someone else hitting me than me losing control of my car. And snow/ice conditions gives me a great excuse to drive slower to gain more mpg without pissing everyone behind me off.

I almost got stuck one time, but I was driving on a backroad they hadn't plowed yet. Fortunately the prius was able to get some traction and pulled myself out of there.

If you'll be saving that much in gas, and won't need the 4Runner for other purposes, then I'd say go for it. I drive a Five trim, which has the same 17 inch wheels as the ones as Blizzard_Persona posted, and the softex seats are really nice and easy to clean up. They have foglights but the stock ones frankly suck. I like the heated seats, and they came in handy during this winter. It actually kept me warm enough that I didn't even need to turn the heater on at times.

My five came with LED lights, and since they don't produce enough heat to melt snow, there's a button for me to clean off snow with windshield washer fluid.

As for gas, it usually costs me about $22-27 per fill up, and I fill it approximately every two weeks. My coworkers and relatives are always amazed that I spend 2-3 times less on gas than they do in their vehicles.

Then they go and buy trucks and SUV's for a 1 person commute to work, go figure.

It's already been discussed ad nauseam. None of us thinks OP can get the costs down to what is stated. Already, the Prius 2 quote at ~$20k has ballooned to a Persona at $23k. But I think most of us can agree that if OP owes $2k - $3k after the trade (well, $4k now) then it is a good deal. I'm skeptical but OP knows their situation better than internet strangers.

There's also the tax and registration that needs to be figured in, on a $23k car, that would add another $3k making it $26k. Then the added insurance costs on top.

And that figure of $32k trade in is not in writing. It's a trick dealers use to make sure you go back to them while getting appraisals and not go with another dealer. When it's time to trade it in......"oh the market conditions have changed". You have to understand dealers get the car NEW for less than $32k, they don't pay MSRP.

There was a member that wanted to sell his 1 year old Prius v FIVE, all the bells and whistles. MSRP for around $35k, traded into car max for $21k after a year.

I agree with most of what your saying. They do pull some shady stuff... Op seems confident that he is getting what he said he will for the trade value and I hope he does..

But sales tax on a 23k car is not 3k, that would mean a 12% tax!!!:confused:

Wisconsin has a 5% sales tax, and either way he would pay no tax as his current car is worth more than the one he is buying and you only pay tax on the difference when you trade in...which is none.

So he would only pay tag transfer and title and doc fee's... Probably $300-$500'ish depending how many fees they tack on.
