disgusted over prius driver's stunts? hold on there big fella, IIRC, aren't you the one who, over our many years on PC, made a science out of regularly & deliberately running out of gas?

Bob likes the stunts; he decided to make a point when the the stunts were taken seriously.

Are they really stunts when he reports back with useful technical information?

A stunt can be informative; and that is all I am going to say so early in the morning.

i learned a lot from evil knieval. a lot of lessons learned the hard way by other people can be very helpful and informative. had a few of my own, but never intentionally. maybe it's not a stunt if not intentional?

I try to make sure all of my stunts are documented in a way that anyone can replicate them. I have no expectation that others will or even should replicate them. For example, running out of gas is usually a mistake but it happens. My running out of gas was to 'drain the tank' for gasoline studies and fuel indicator calibration checking but it also meant learning to what extent our traction battery equipped prius will limp to a safe place (2001-2009, yes, 2010, NO!)

We see TV commercials where cars do remarkable things with professional drivers like drifting into a parking place:
Parallel Parking World Record Broken: Mini Slides Into Space Just 8 cm Longer Than Car
As long as Mini doesn't call this their auto-park system . . . we're amused.
