Got back from Athens GA a couple of weeks ago. We put 2,260 miles on the Prius with plenty of mountain driving. Averaged just under 50mpg with 49.8 calculated. What a great car for the road.

Off Road Warehouse installed our airbags, but after relocating the access port, and repairing a broken line on one side, this is definitely an install I could have done myself without any problem.

I ordered online and installed in a couple hours. Including oil change and tire rotation. Very easy job.
I'm glad I got them in before we left on our trip. Huge difference, especially on our Prius Plus.

Here's my setup ... first trip was Sacramento, CA to Seattle, WA and back. It went up/down the mountains like it was on rails. No issues with power. No issues with tracking. I went from 51 MPG down to 35 MPG. All in all, a great experience.

I just put almost 6k miles on my Prius in a month over two roadtrips, and it was great. I went from ABQ, NM up to visit a friend in Pittsburgh, PA and back (1800 miles each way exactly), and then about two weeks later went up to Albany, NY (about 2200mi each way). I setup one side of the back as a "sleeping pod", with the larger half of the rear seat folded down and a sleeping bag laid out across it, and slept with my head under the hatchback and my feet on the center console armrest (I'm 6'0"). I learned the cargo cover has a nifty feature for use as a reading light - if you lay down with your feet up front and head in the back, and close the cargo cover over you, you can flip up the aftmost portion that locks it in place, and it lets light in at an angle from the lower rear window without letting any light into your face. No idea if this was designed intentionally, but it's a nice function. I left the car on in P while sleeping, the engine never woke me and having the climate control running was wonderful while camped out in hot/humid areas like MO and NY. Even with these rest stops I still got about 45mpg averaged out. Prius is a fantastic roadtripping/camping vehicle if only for that use - I literally never turned the car off except to refuel.

Anybody know if there's a way to setup climate controls in the back end, so I could change the temp without having to crawl around and go up front? I can't find any info anywhere on if/how one might remotely change the temp setting...That would really complete the spaceship feel!

Yes, I have go thru CA a bit to get to Brookings Oregon, makes me feel dirty and overtaxed but it's only about 60 beautiful miles. The only tax footprint I leave is at the stateline liquor store on 101

IT is a beautiful part of country, we camped over there exactly one year ago. Eureka, Crescent City, etc. Went to OR but not too far just to Crater Lake and back. I wouldn't mind moving over there myself.
