Love the car... but let's improve the driver's seat!

I used to have one on my steering wheel; but, suicide knobs aren't legal in NH anymore.

Except maybe in handicapped equipped cars with full hand controls (acceleration and braking as well as steering) I hope???

Getting back to lumbar supports, I got one a couple of weeks ago at WalMart for about $10. While I find the Prius seats to be surprisingly comfortable, the lumbar cushion just adds the icing on the cake. I did a round trip from San Diego to San Francisco on consecutive days before I got the cushion, and I didn't experience any problems. However, that was only 1,000 miles in two days, and I have been known to do almost 3,000 miles in three days--so I'll make sure and have the cushion for my marathon drives!!!

BTW I recently had to sleep sitting up for a few nights, and I don't know how my back would have survived my recliner had it not been for the cushion!

Please visit the PriusChat store and look at the Extend My Seat brackets if you are in need of additional legroom.

Maybe there is the concept that "Live free AND Die" is not a great thing :)

agreed, these seats are pretty poor. Even the seats in the 1st gen are more comfortable for some reason, although that car is much too cramped for me (I'm 6'3"). Clearly Toyota knows this because my dad's 2010 has much better seats.

I wish the gen 2 prius seats had lumbar support and that they moved back even a couple more inches, but the biggest problem is the headrest. it is concave and doesn't support my head at all in comparison to the headrest on our 2001 sienna which was flatter and could actually be rotated forwards
