The shape of the side windows are very unappealing to me. I dislike the profile, and really dislike the rear.
Trying to find something positive, I suspect the front end will not drag on every curb, wheel stop and dip in the road.
It appears the front headlight extends further up the fender on the white car than it does on the gray?

I think the lights are the same on both: maybe appears different due to the different angle?

Back in the day, round seemed a sensible headlight shape. Triangular is dead opposite. And if that's not bad enough, now we have to grab the points of the triangle and stretch them out and out: the amoeba look.

    Two comments:

The front bumper probably results from the new small overlap offset impact test like for the 2015 v.

The wheels look like the 2010-2011 15 inchers (silver instead of black) which is my preference, if anyone cares.

Agree. The (alloy) wheels look similar to those on a gen2 minus the (plastic) wheel covers.

Love the angles in the front. The rear is unique and growing on me. Like the thunder/bolt pattern brake lights. The long vertical taillight should keep the tailgaters back off.

The tailgaters will probably want to pass you sooner as well, it has a rear end only a mother could love.
Some people adored the maw on the Edsel too (I guess).

Disclaimer: this is just my opinion so don't get bent out of shape.

    Two things I just noticed:

    1. The spot where the fog light housing is on the high-spec model appears to have an easy to install corresponding spot on the low-spec. Watch for a fog light aftermarket kit to come out soon after the car is released.
    2. The two-tone leather looks really good. Kind of like my custom Clazzios :)

I wonder if Toyota modified the front end of the Gen 4 enough to make it easier to change out the spark plugs. As many are aware, it's more difficult than it should be on the Gen 3. The hood does look a little longer on the Gen 4, so maybe.

Maybe your eyes are better than mine, Danny - I don't really notice any two-tone interior.
In any case - Is that black cladding below the rear bumper? If so, I hope it looks better in person.
Also, the black on the top of the rear window and C pillar has to go (unless you get the car in black.)
All things considered, they did a pretty decent job overall (as far the these pix are concerned), although we really haven't seen any interior shots yet. Final determination to be made once they hit the showrooms...

Zoom in on the passenger seat on the Prius on the right side. I see the two-tone as well.

I can see what Danny is talking about with the two tone interior
You know, a lot of people have been very critical of Toyota and this Gen 4 styling. I still like it, and it will be around for a few years.

Actually more 3-tone. The main door panels (not insert) are closer to black.

I am surprised the "photographer" didn't take a photo of the inside (like the dashboard or instruments) since he/she had the cars all to himself with no one to stop him.

I wonder when the "old" generation price will start falling? September 8th? when the Toyota announces production, when the 2016 are about to arrive on the car lots/dealers?

They are already discounting them 6,000.00 or more...
