I suspect you are right, but I'll add the suspected caveat that a young person who has worked on cars extensively and has used them for hard duty would appreciate the wisdom of K.I.S.S... would also arch a brow at the 4th gen's superfluous styling elements.

(K.I.S.S. is not as incompatible with the idea of a hybrid as one might think at superficial regard. The elegance of the HSD relative to a conventional auto, and the isolation of the driven accessories by eliminating belts is what clinched the deal for me.)

I've already told my wife that this will be my midlife crisis car. I'm aiming for red paint, tinted windows, and as much tech as they can cram into it.

Is it me or does the front end looked pissed off? Like angry looking.

My daughter drove her 4WD Pilot for MONTHS on a temp spare, actually drove to a neighbouring country ('States, more than once) on that spare.

The ultimate procrastinator. We'd slipped her bucks too. She did EVENTUALLY get on it, lol.

This is the Prius that will get back at all those people that made fun of its older generations. Details are sketchy but look out...

What isn't clear about a bi-fuel Impala having two fuel tanks, both holding two different fuels, that can independently power the car's ICE. By the, likely partial, definition you quote above, a bi-fuel car is a hybrid. They store energy in the form of gasoline and natural gas in two separate tanks. They don't provide propulsion power at the same time, but that is fine according to your definition.

In which case, gasoline and natural gas carried in a car at the same time, and both are used to power the single ICE make the bi-fuel Impala a hybrid.

Like the lowered sharp angle of the nose seen better in the classic silver.
So the circled area is LED or No LED?

The spin from those contradicting their own statements of the past will be entertaining.

For me, I'm still totally amazed how so many think the old-school car is the only thing considered attractive.

As time goes on, the divide will grow. The unique shapes of exterior lights will draw wider audiences. After all, the automakers can only do so much with the already refined car shape. Something new is needed to interest buyers.

Agree with john1701a! We in PC have an open mind, :D, don't we?

The rear of vehicles is usually ignored by designers, no details! Now Lexus did something about that!

Welcome to the styling age of LED. It removes constraints of incandescent lighting.

:)My mid life crisis was at least fifteen years ago. Just not a fan of the BIG front ends on most of the new cars, MB, Audi, Mazda, Lexus, etc. I saw a new Prius v, the front end is bloated. I can honestly say I really like the front end of the current Gen 3 Prius best.

The previous Prius V did look better. The front bumper looks garish. What were they thinking?

I personally love the new Prius v front end. It looks aggressive and modern.

Someone who is in the know said that the refreshed front end was to hide reinforcements and pass the small barrier crash test,... who knows!
