High mileage taxi prius

    if they did NOTHING btw 24k and 145k ... the car doesn't worth that much that is over 100k without even an oil change??? also btw 158k 185k nothing ??? that is close to 30k .... with one oil change ??? I would be very very suspicious ...

    (in car driven as a taxi ... lots of stop and go I would expect the battery probably used up pretty much ... )

    Taking that I've already committed to buying it. What should I be looking at replacing?

    Also what should be my maintenance schedule moving forward.

    There's no reason to assume no maintenance was done to the car during those long intervals. It wouldn't have lasted as long as it has with oil changes that far apart.

    Ok so I just cleared my Prius from the port. I noticed that when it's parked and the ice kicks in to charge the battery, it ice shuts down right as the battery gets to 3 bars. Anybody knows why? I hope this doesn't mean I have a faulty battery

    That is about right my behaves the same way either during traffic jam or slow traffic or parked... The ICE will not fully charge or even half way up the battery.

    sigh!!! thanks for your assurance that its too early to start going crazy. ans I also noticed that the car drives very low. I am thinking its due to the batteries under the seat. I would take physical measurements in the morning. But is this normal??

    You bought a prius took it to Africa without any prior prius experience ??? Brave !! The car is very low riding even on US roadsit is an issue You can very very easily scrape the front bumber (also the back is low but not that much) ... I have only been in Kenya if that is similar ... where you are ... roads are NOT prius friendly at all

    True. It really skipped me when I was reading about the Prius. My dad have me an ear full last night about it. Ooh well. I guess I would avoid going to places that makes my front bumper scratch like my dad's house ......

    top of the tyres to the road depends on wheel size and tyre type.
