Just picked up an 08 Prius for my son...How do I know if its the touring?? It has HID headlights, nav, JBL sound, and bluetooth. Im pretty sure it's got 15 inch wheels.

Touring had 16" wheels. Also a bit larger spoiler, HID headlights and fog lamps (not HID) and sport tuned suspension, but the wheels are an easy check.

    Touring rims 'look':

The symptoms of a Touring model are 16 wheels and tires and a longer rear spoiler. Supposedly the rear suspension has different struts but that won't be obvious.

Wheels are easiest to spot. Also touring has rear anti roll bar (inside axle beam) that can be spotted from the back if you know what you’re looking for.

The non-Touring model also has that roll bar within the axle beam.

Sorry. We only have model that basically is same as your Touring. And I would have think that Toyota would rather just make axle beam stronger than install extra anti roll bar on every car.

I think the European Prius also has rear disc brakes (vs. North American Prius which have drum brakes.) And of course you do not have the fuel tank bladder or the engine coolant heat recovery system, neither of which add much value from the owner's point of view - but were provided for emissions control reasons to make the California Air Resources Board think that Prius has advanced technology and thus qualifies for AT-PZEV rating.
