Start by checking you wire length and plan a path. In my case I have to go from the back of the head unit for the RCA sound connection, remote power, and gain to the amp in the trunk. In my case I needed to lift up the armrest. Also good idea to play with where the subs will sit.

One way I can mount them but then I get the cover rattling.

Though I could keep that cover below for if I need to cover my subs. Found it rattles and much easier to toss a jacket over them.

I have an after market Sony headunit with Sub out so ran my RCA and Remote wire through the center console for that.I'm sure there are other routes but this is what I did.

    Find a good ground.
    10891565_811407522254072_2292562573159111191_n.jpg
Ran under the seat carpet then through the trunk. Next to the HV battery cables.

Drilled holes in the tray for where wires will come in and out.

Here you see the ground already routed. The speaker wire is being held down by a wire holder deal.
    10898320_811407555587402_5569084050052396037_n.jpg

Had to get a battery terminal replacement cable like 8 gauge from autozone to make the power cable a smaller gauge than the 0 I had on my last car with it. The end fits on the battery better too.

Tidy up the wires and still have room to put stuff down there. I used velcro on the bottom to hold the sub in place. With all my autocross events, it hasn't moved.

Just for fun I added this. Wired it to the Remote power and ground on the amp. It has it's own on/off switch too. 20150831_124217.jpg 20150826_203857.jpg 20150826_203904.jpg 20150826_203823.jpg

Hard wiring my radar and dash cam.

    20150830_122152.jpg
Put the parts you remove in the back.

    20150830_122205.jpg

Here you see me running the wires on the side pillar. Pull out as much as you can. Be sure to run the any wires behind the airbag so they don't snag if the airbag ever goes off. You can kinda tell I ran one wire above the air vent, over the steering and then to the back of the stereo. Luckily my head unit has a rear USB and the power cord for the dash cam is USB. 20150830_122209.jpg
Here I tapped into the positive off the cigarette lighter which I've already used to power other things so just tapped into that and found a round.
    20150830_122256.jpg
Here hangs the GPS dongle that plugs into the dash cam. Kinda useless so far.
    20150830_122307.jpg

The white wire is for something else, a ambient led light. The other wires come out here by the mirror. 20150830_122311.jpg 20150831_124753.jpg 20150831_124800.jpg 20150831_124804.jpg

    Works like a charm.

While I had the dash apart I added some color to the ring around the power button.

At night with my ambient led.

Going to drive with out the buttons for a week so the paint cures. Airbag is functional still. Snapchat--8321544851443037105.jpg

Note to self - do not paint the back side or spots where buttons clip in. Had to scrape paint off to allow the buttons to move freely and not get stuck.

Stands out at night too. Wonder what I'll paint next.

The suction cup mount I had was on my sun strip and started pulling my tint off so got a mirror mount off ebay. Fits nicely but is more visible for crooks. But it's easier to remove that where it was before.

Where did you get that LED ring for the power button?

It's still the factory part just painted white. It looks blue like because I have a blue led aiming down from infront of the sunglasses holder spot.

Finally added LED lighting to the arm rest and another to the floor.

I am curious as to how you ran the wiring for the sub. I have a 10" comp S kicker with the low profile box, and routing the wires from the head unit is proving to be a pain in the nice person. I am also curious as to why I keep getting crackling with heavy bass songs from my tweeters. I am needless to say, no expert when it comes to stereo stuff lol. I have the theory that the head unit is not giving enough power to the tweeters and all 4 door speakers, because we ran everything into the stock wiring and I did not have the JBL system. Also any suggestions on routing door speakers and tweeters to the amp in the trunk would be greatly appreciated ( I got a 5 channel amp and am only using 1 channel for the sub).

Mirror mount holder tab broke. Fell off a few times when my subs were bumping, so ordered a stronger one.

To work on some hail damage I pulled the headliner and did a terrible job of popping the dents out. A week later I was like "Why didn't I paint the headliner?!". Had some left over exterior house paint and bought some fabric medium to try keeping the fabric soft.

    20160625_231201.jpg

    Wires all over!!!
    20160625_231207.jpg 20160625_231214.jpg
So I remember how this light fits in. Note the bent metal clip. 20160625_231308.jpg
Pulled out from the trunk. Had to bend it a little.
    20160625_234417.jpg
Theses wires were a paint. Had to pull them off their sticky tape mounted spots and separate from the insulation. Arg should have did some sound deadening spray. Oh well.
    20160626_005150.jpg 20160626_005237.jpg 20160626_005201.jpg 20160626_185112.jpg 20160626_185137.jpg

Redid the arm rest too. Tightened it up finally while it was off.

Fabric is a little rough to the touch but no where near what it is like just spray painting it. Still soft enough not to make people ask whats' wrong with it.lol

It's a reflection from the blue led mounted with the dome lights aiming down on the white ring on the power button.

Here I am taking the stock OEM chrome one out.

Nice mods so far! Is there a DIY for the ambient light? I've always liked how they look in the Lexus' I've been in.

Thanks! I ran a power cable from the glovebox light power along the side pillar, across the roof line and into the dome light area. From there I drilled a hole for the LED, soldered and called it done. It only comes on when running lights are on. You can see the white wire hanging here, going to the right.

It bugged me that things would tip over in the arm rest. I took some scrap material from a house project, cut to size then silicone in place.
