Congratulations! The ChuggyPig's odometer rolled over 100,000 back in July (…and is now up to just over 104,000) - running like a top! ;)

I can just picture you, coming to a stop on the freeway to take this picture. :ROFLMAO:

Cripes, we'll never get there. Five years in, around 56,000 kilometers.

First Prius at 121K, & 2nd at 93K. No problems with either. Congrats SimplySandy! May your miles be smooth.

To adapt a saying of my Irish forebears:

And may the wind always be at your back,
As your mpg is much better that way!

If the transaxle fluid has never been changed yet, 100,000 might be a good idea. Transaxle fluid in the ChuggyPig was changed at 88,000 or thereabouts. I remember reading somewhere on here (PriusChat) that the first transaxle fluid change is the most important one, since it tends to have all the stuff which worked its way out, worn off or fallen off since the transmission was first built. I just checked and found that the one done at 88k was the first for my car, so I would think another 30k or 50k before the next one. Some folk even take steps to send off samples of the removed oil for analysis. (use search function to learn more)

No significant increase in their appetites for engine oil yet? Some Prii seem to have that problem appear at roughly that mileage, and others don't. What makes the difference isn't yet clear.

congrats! i'm at 94K and should be hitting that mileage in a few months. has anyone with 100K+ miles replaced the battery yet? not because it's damaged or broken but more on wear and tear. i was considering trading my prius in for a new one with fear of battery replacement cost (might as well get a new car vs battery replacement thinking).

My 2010 hit 100k about a year ago. At 117k now and problem free. My personal jury is still out on long-term reliability with gen 3, and honestly, I'm a little spooked. Not sure they're over-built tanks like gen 2. We'll see though, I go long haul with all of my vehicles. My first attempt at posting pics here...

Thanks, that's encouraging, I have 61K only, but plan for a long usage.

I'm at 126k on the 2011 -- just ordered all weather matts (OE driver matt has a hole) and the front pads. I'm at 1/3 linings remaining on the front's. Set of tires at 90k. Ours uses less then 1/2 quart of oil in 10k .... with only 4 quarts in the engine .....I keep it topped up.

153k on 2011 trouble free miles, no oil use to speak of, maybe couple ounces every 10k. On 3rd set of tires, they will run another 50k and brakes little over half wore out. I looked today, wife drives it, and she has a heavy foot, the readout read 48 mpg for 700 mile since I tripped it last. She never trips it and drives it with cruise, 88 miles each day, round trip to work. I think I could drive it and still get 55 mpg. I checked the inverter fluid today, it is on the low mark, has never had any added, will put and ounce of two in that next week and drive it for another year. We don't plan on keeping car much longer that that. The first set of tire, Yok Avids got about 56k I think. The next set of Michelin Energy Saver A/S got got about 75 K. This current set of Energy Savers has 23K on them, if my math add up this should be 153K approx.

Ours was at 149,000. Then last Monday, someone rearended my wifes car and totaled it. That sucked, it was a 2010. She is fine and our insurance company gave us 10,844 for it, which was great. I have a 2010 and just turned 95,000. I just keep it maintained the way Toyota says you should.

We bought a 2015 Prius Two to replace hers. Got a great deal too.
