Since last week, gas in California went up $0.40 so far.

I wonder how much further these gas companies would like to rip us off when crude oil continues to decline.

As much as you will let them get away with. Quit buying the stuff and use your plug-in more.

BTW, the crude oil prices I see are $3 to 4 per barrel higher than I saw about a week ago. While still very low, the trend of the moment is up.

Bought gas today. Cheapest I seen in a LONG time. $1.49 with the 10 cent Kroger discount at the Shell station. Bought just over five gallons of 87 octane. Pump read $7.55 Too bad I didn't need more fuel. Haven't been driving much this year. This last month I filled up one time.

I don't know if you all have ever had this problem, but with all my old cars, I had to check my gas every 4 days to make sure I knew when to fill up. Well, I started doing the same thing with my Prius, only to see the gas gauge hardly moving. So, I trained my mind to not look at it so much. Problem with that is after two weeks I hear the "beep" warning and have to quickly find a gas station............LoL.

Prius will beep once when the last bar starts flashing. I usually don't go down that far. Did one time on our old Gen II just to see what I could get out of it.

Once when I had my generation 2 Prius I took a trip. At 185 miles of highway driving, I noticed the gauge still read full! I said to the person I was driving with "damn, the gas gauge is broken it is still showing full." At 186 miles the gauge clicked off from the full level. I was relieved to know that gauge was working! LOL.

    Reviving this thread once again.

Gas prices continue to fall here in Houston. With the ten cent discount from Krogers I purchased 87 octane Shell gas for $1.399 per gallon. I did not get a full tank as I was on 6 Pips, but could not pass up the deal. It is a welcome change to give someone a $10 bill and get change back. A year ago it would have been about 40 cents higher as per my fuelly records.

In Southern Cali, our gas dropped a whopping $0.20!!!!

So we only have to pay just $3.00 a gallon. Hahha
