    Hey folks.

I have a 2010 Prius I with the Blizzard pearl paint job, and I'm having issues with some paint chipping along the very edge of the roof, directly above the top of the windshield, predominantly on the passengers side. When I bought the car six months ago, there was a few spots where it was already chipped away, but now after driving it a lot (I was driving an average of 100 miles a day for most of that time), and using the automatic car wash at least once a week (because I currently drive for uber and need to keep her clean, and don't have the time to hand wash her), that paint chipping seems to be getting worse, and I have no idea how to stop it.

Can anyone give tips on how to first of all fix that issue (touch up paint, or will I have to go to a body shop?), and if there is anything I can put on it to prevent it from chipping further, like a clear plastic strip which they use on the door edges and such?

I know those paint chips that you're speaking of and Toyota dealerships sell a small bottle Blizzard pearl for I think $10 you should pick one up and use it accordingly one end has a pin on it and when you unscrew it there's a brush it comes in very handy good lucAnd in case you don't know where to go in the dealership you would go to the parts department and ask for a small bottle of Blizzard pearl touch up My problem areas are my splitter primarily on the right side and in time if you don't angle the car into and out of driveways you're going to have the same problem and you will find out how handy that small jar painWithout seeing a couple of pictures of your issue it's hard to give you the right advice but this bottle of touch up paint should do the job and you should be very satisfiend as long as you don't become OCD over it and realize that the car is going to get scratches and dings and nicks from rocks flying on the freeway you'll be fine. Can remember it's out of your control you can get a little paint but that's as far as I would go of course it's up to you to decide

Heres a photo of what I'm talking about...they keep getting bigger. I will pick up a bottle of touch up though, thanks.

Once it starts I don't think it is going to stop. I would blame the brushes rubbing over the car for aggravating if not causing the damage. Do you see swirlies in the pant or on the spoiler?

If you don't strip the car to repaint it then the old paint is going to continue to lift under the new paint.

I'm surprised it looks black under the paint. I expected to see white primer.
