For those who change their own transmission fluid what specifically do you recommended for my 2010 Prius?
I just bought it a month ago with 72,000 miles and my pre purchase inspection mechanic recommended I have it drained and filled.

An excerpt from the Owners Manual:

The grammar's a little fractured, but the message pretty emphatic. A few brave (and foolhardy?) owners have tried alternative fluids, but there's really no upside.

Make sure he has the car level when filling, to get the level right. If he's got a full lift, that'd be fine. Basically you don't just want to raise the front end, have the car on a slant when filling. So get the car raised/level, add fluid 'till it starts coming back out. That achieves the spec'd fluid level.
