Thanks, any best practices on getting through to Toyota HQ for getting help with payment? I am bringing the car in this week, gonna get car tested for sure and then email or call them(assuming it is the Traction battery). Thanks in advance..

There's a thread here somewhere: people relating their experiences getting Toyota to pitch in, how it went.

Unfortunately the 12V seems fine. My next concern is driving the car 8 miles to the service place. Will it make it?

That is the traction battery fan and it is on because the battery is overheating due to the presence of a failed module.

You would be wasting your time contacting the Toyota Customer Experience Center in California, because Servco Pacific is an independent distributor for Hawaii. Servco Pacific is at the same organizational level as Toyota Motor Sales USA (which serves the continental US), although much smaller, of course. There is no reason for TMS USA to give you any financial help with a Servco Pacific-sold vehicle.

It might not, be ready to call for towing assistance.

Hi Rob2016. Can you tell us for how long you have owned this Prius? There seems to be an epidemic of people buying secondhand Prius's and having traction battery problems soon after. I'm pretty sure a lot of people are noticing some problems (and possibly resetting codes) and then off loading them as soon as they can.
