I am the proud owner of a 2008 Toyota Prius. It has all the features and is a great commuter car. I drive about 30 miles each way in mixed highway/city traffic which yields me ~53 MPG. I came from a 2014 Corolla (rest in pieces) and can already see that the Prius is a much better car overall. Overall, I am incredibly happy with the smooth and quiet ride. Bought it with 96,000 miles; this thing is hardly broken in!

Welcome to priuschat! Read your manuals. Keep the tires slightly over inflated and remember to change your 12v battery--they are only designed to last 5 years, like any other car battery (some risk takers keep theirs 7 years). FYI: this unusually small battery is NOT under the hood, it's neatly hidden inside the car over the right rear wheel.

Yep, I already replaced just 3 days into ownership. I did my research way ahead of time, so I knew the triangle upon startup was just a dying 12v battery. It was still the original too!
