You have to factor in the import tax on the Prius. The pricing between the C-HR and Prius in the US will be level in that regard.

 

Thank you very much. We are still looking for more updates about e-four version. Prius 4 won't be e-four in Europe because of C-HR according to us.

 

Looking at the Auris on the UK website, it seems the hybrid version starts 2k pounds less than the Prius and is smaller than the Prius. Here we are talking about a car that will start $4k less than the Prius in the US and larger. Unless not all versions are hybrid for the C-HR, which is possible. Based on Toyota's pricing structure in the US, I think they are going to cut some corners to achieve a larger car for less money.

 

As it appears, the interior could rather be that of the new Hilux, Toyota also introduces in Geneva, as Lipton at the french Prius Touring Club Forum suggests:

And the way I read the press texts of Toyota, I did not find evidence for the offering of a e-four FWD version.

The car looks small on the pictures, but the size suggests that is not the case. I can see only one explanation: tire size.

Any info on that? Renault Scenic has 195/55 R20, not as drastic as BMW i3 (155/70R19) but tire choice in all those cases is very very small.

When i look to the official pics, i didn't think it's the good dashboard that we saw few post ago. It looks more like the Gen 4 prius, what do you think?

Can someone say me where is the official info that the CHR is 4 cm more compact than RAV4? the rav 4 hybrid is 4.6m , does it mean the CHR is 4.55m (gen 4 dimensions...)?
I'm really interested by the hybrid version of CHR depending on trunk space (vs gen4) ^^

Everything about C-HR makes perfect sense EXCEPT conventional 4WD rather than E-four ? This would have been one heck of a product had the HSD version been available with E-Four just like Prius Gen 4. Seriously major opportunity missed IMO.

Seems Toyota these days gets most things right but a few, spectacularly wrong.

 

The C-HR (for Compact High Rider) is 4.35 m long, 2,63 m wheel base, 1,8 m large.

89 g CO2/km (or 3,9 l/100 km NEDC) for the hybrid version. May be similar to the 2th gen Prius 3.

Many question marks:

• interior design ? It is said to be as modern as that of the 4th gen Prius
• e-four version ? So far, only the non hybrid CVT versions are mentioned to have FWD
• launch date ? Some say next summer, others the end of 2016
• price ? Probably in the Auris range. In fact, it may be on the shorter TNGA platform which the next Auris generation may have (my speculation)

I also read that it will also be produced in the USA.

Where do you found this info regarding dimensions? Regarding what Toyota Europe said : it is full size C crossover only -4 cms than rav 4.
What about wheel base, it is tnga and prius is 2.7m, why they would modify it for CHR?
