Ok. I've been extremely happy with my 2016 Gen 4 - until I tried the navigation. The voice navigation is unusable. It worked well on my 2012 Prius, if you had the AC turned off (wind from AC messed up microphone.) On the 2016, it understands nothing you say in navigation. The voice control works ok on commands for tuning the radio, but forget navigation. I have used the voice training at least 5 times, and that has not helped. In fact, even entering an address manually is very doubtful. The only way I and the salesman was able to get it to work was to use the Points of Interest command.

that's too bad, but not unexpected. i would replace the h/u if it was a must have for me.

I kept asking the Nav for help finding a "new destination" and it kept asking me which bus station I wanted.

If I ask it to go to an address right off, it has great difficulty

But if I ask it to "find an address" first, the nav starts a dialog that mostly works. Basically I am learning to pick phrases that i know it seems to understands.

Still sucks, but less so as I am learning its limits. The manual entry works very well for me-- the POIs not so much.

I wonder why the navigation is so poor. They've had years to prefect it ( it has always been much worse than Google maps.) And it is especially strange that the voice recognition is worse than on previous models.

I've given up voice commands in the car a long time ago.
My Garmin has that capability, which I keep switched off.
I listen to books on tape on my daily commute, and on several occasions, I've had my book dictate direction.
FYI Steven King reads many of his books for books on tape, and it really weird hearing him directing my destination.

A little bit but they should soften up in time. Plus it's cold winter so that can add to it as well

Took my new 2016 Prius up to the mountains today, driving through mostly rain and into the snow. One major difference that was obvious between the 2016 and my 2004 Prius was how much better it handled puddles at highway speeds. With the 2004, even with tires designed for rain, it was usually a white knuckle experience with lots of hydroplaning.

Today, not once did I sense even a hint of loosing control hitting large puddles at higher speeds. I was almost hoping to try out the traction control disable feature in the snow, however the roads were clear.

While my 2004 was a great vehicle, it caused me no end of headaches heading to the hills in the winter.

First time Prius owner – Three Touring. Had her about a month now. Normally I take a train to work, but today I had to commute down to Mountain View. 66.5 MPG across 51.5 miles, according to the trip computer. Nice!

Picked up Saturday. Very happy !
Ride is quiet and smooth. So many "toys".
    Still playing..

    Still happy - but
    1. Tires - Yokohama Blueearth S34 - not available even through tire rack ! Noisy choppy ride
Any recommendations for a quieter, better ride tire ?
    2. JBL Radio - sound from front OR back - cannot seam to balance in the center.
    3. Heater - very little airflow at the highest fan setting.
    With 200 miles - averaging 59 MPG.
No major issues - car is still an A....

You'll have to excuse my materials handling background: all I can think is you got the conveyor package. :)

    Seriously, congrats.

I just picked up my 4 Touring too! Loving it so far but it has a few quirks and I am wondering if you have noticed them oe mayne I am doing something wrong...1. When I am using the navigation to navigate a route, and a call comes in over Bluetooth, the screen changes from the map to the phone screen (annoying) AND the directions keep being announced so that my caller can hear my navigation.
    2. The text message linking with my Iphone 6 plus seems very buggy. Even though I have checked the box in the Prius settings to show messages as read on my iphone when I read them on my prius, it doesn't. Oh ya..the email? I have not been able to get my email to link.
    3. My iphone 6 plus does not fit in the wireless charging area :(
