Yes, people will think you are driving a Dodge Challenger.

    Haha! Ask me anything.

I complained about the location of the charge port being on the passenger side of the first PiP. The front would be the best location since that's where most public chargers are, but if it must be on a side, it should be the side the driver always has to be near. The fuel tank should be on the passenger side since it is rarely used, while the charger should be on the drivers side since it's used daily or more.

I often forget to plug in just because the charge port is not visible when getting out, and takes a special trip to the other side of the vehicle. Sure, the extra trip only costs me an extra 5 seconds every day, but compound that month after month for thousands of PiP owners, and you're talking years of human life wasted.

The new PiP had the opportunity to correct this fairly major usability issue, and it's disappointing to see they didn't address it.

Prius owners like to exercise, charger and battery in the rear,
plus no chance of tripping over the cord in AM carrying coffee mug and work bag. :)

That picture is a rendering and whoever created it forgot the charging port door.

Maybe there is no charging port because it's not the plugin but a prius prime superior..

Yeah that would be lame. You know what else would be? The next prius mechanical marvel is the plugin prius, wireless charging and 15 miles ev.... Woo-hoo. It was stated last year that was the goal.

That picture shows a prototype PiP (2010-2012), not the production one (2012-2015). (y)

That's a pity to hear about the NDA PeterKG. Just make sure to tell us EVERYTHING the second it expires.

So let me get this right, do we already know what the car looks like? The images Sergiospl posted seem to be an exact match to Toyota's teaser.

I guess that would also explain Toyota's careful choice of words saying it will be a "standout design" but hey, we don't want to discuss exterior design right? Let's hope at least the numbers are good.

The rendering is very good if all the sexiness is removed.

So we won't want to add a lower back tat on the hatch?

Haha! No I guess not. Toyota definitely has separated the looks of the PIP from the 2016 Prius unlike the previous generation. What's inside will really be a topic of conversation. Very awesome and Tesla like.
