Is that part of the steering linkage and brake disc shield on the floor in the foreground?

It looks like the 12V survived too.

...maybe you don't want to be a pedestrian near a crash these days ...all the wheels break off and go flying

They could have been thinking about that when they chose to take off the wheel covers.

Either that or about Odd Job's flying hat in Goldfinger.

That is the hub and inside half of the wheel. Tyre and outside half are in someones lap. ;)

I can see "wheel tethering" is coming to production cars.

Whenever the results are published, you'll see more info.

The dummies don't really show anything. The details are in the measurements. I imagine this new prius will score all perfect marks in every category--or at least I hope! The updated 3rd gen got all perfect scores except the structure. too much tear away at the lower hinge pillar.

I've always wondered; how can you get those wheels? I've seen them since 2011. Do they sometimes come with them when you buy the car or are they aftermarket? Dumb question, but I'm curious

Alloy wheels are stock since the Gen-1 Prius, possibly the Japanese-only, Gen-0. It is one of standard features that are extra on the usual piece-of-sh*t used to make faux comparisons with the Prius.
