    Hello zml,
so yeah it looks like an old gen Roadrover unit.
At least you can do a partial backup; that's good.

The MCU is not a file; it's a micro-controller+firmware inside the unit.
The fact that you are able to run the I9 skins without the radio working proves you would need to upgrade the MCU first.
I'm not sure if this is possible in this case; you will need to find out the radio type first.
There are instructions on this thread ( I9 GUI on old Roadrover D2280) in china-rns.com that explains how to check for that.
    Read the whole thread first.
Even if you have the right radio type, you will need to check if there is an MCU version upgrade for your unit.
(I checked very quickly in their download list and couldn't find anything specifically for your unit but there might be some compatible units.)

The best thing thing to do is to ask the folks at china-rns.com (they are very knowledgeable; ask Strados) to see if there is a way to upgrade your MCU.
If yes, then you can follow the procedure to upgrade the MCU, then upgrade the UI shell to I9 and enjoy the new skins.

***Very important*** Do not upgrade your MCU unless you are 100% sure it fits your unit and that I9 skins will work on the unit!
(Otherwise you unit could be broken forever...)

    Hello Amer,
This looks like a Roadrover model running Windows CE and I9 UI.
It does not support Android Auto.

Hey all, I was wondering if someone could help me out. I saw earlier where someone mentioned they were getting voFilter error when trying to run video from USB. I am having the same issue. It went from working yesterday to error this morning. I see where he was asked for info by Bulle but never supplied it. Here is the info from my player...

    Unknown Error (0XFFFF0004)
    Shell: 2.78.10
    OS: EN-Prima-ARM-SLC-V1.50
    MCU: D69TTRH7-BH-T1-V9.00

Bulle (or anyone) can you please assist in helping me to get my video playback back?

    Thanks

    Hello Chuckman,

there are many possible reasons of course.

The most probable one right now is your usb key got corrupted or is too slow somehow.
Try with a different one or an sdcard with THE SAME video files and see if it works.

If not, there a good chance your video filters in the I9/Filters folder (in flash memory) got corrupted.
    Happened to me once.
Then in this case, I would simply copy over the original Filters folder into the I9 folder.
(Skin 2.78.10 available somewhere on post #1)
    That might fix it.

If that doesn't fix it, then I would reinstall the whole Windows CE.
This would reset all your settings too but at least you should end up with a clean system.
This one happened to me twice!
    (Also look at post #1)

As always, for any fix, follows instructions carefully! You don't want to brick your unit!

Those damn flash memories are not always reliable...
(although mines have been working fine since then...)

Thank you Bulle, I will try a few of those suggestions today and let you know the outcome.

Another questions before I dive in. I found some nice wallpapers in POST#1, but did not see where to upload them...what folder do I upload wallpaper photos to?

    Thanks again

Sure. The wallpapers can be anywhere you want.
    To upload a wallpaper:
Apps>Options>Skins then in the Wallpaper section hit Browse and select the file
    or
    Apps->Files>Photos>Open>Options->Set As wallpaper

For the startup logo: read this: Ottonavi HU: How to change your startup logo | PriusChat

Should all work for your unit too.

Well I started on this today and ran out of time. Here is what I found.

1.) It's not really an option to use a stylus...USE ONE. LOL

2.)The only "I9" folder I found was on the SD card. Since I have not had the card in for several years, I don't think the "Filters" folder is where the issue lies. Unless I missed another folder somewhere. You said in the "Flash memory". Is that the same?

3.) I did something I am not aware I did, and not sure how to fix it. Since I ran out of time because I had to go somewhere, I shut everything down. As I departed to go out, I turned on the radio to find it is at full volume and the volume control does not work other than mute. It stays at full VOL. Any idea what I did? I honestly don't remember getting to a point where I changed anything. I am now without radio and video.

4.) Since there was no SD card with maps (I did not use the NAV system) I am assuming that the video error is somewhere within "Win-CE". Is it time to just re-install CE?

Sorry for the extra questions, and thanks for the wallpaper tips.

A little bit risky to stop right in the middle...

    Answers:
    1) stylus for installing things yes; while driving a big NO!
    2) The unit I9 folder should be here: \StaticStore\I9
    Filters folder is here: \StaticStore\I9\Filters
    3) Impossible for me to know what you did; but it's very possible that the unit memory (flash memory) is corrupted
    4) Nav system is simply a Windows app on an sd card; should have nothing to do with your problem.

Radio volume not working is weird; So may be we need to reinstall Windows; read below...

A few words on how this stuff works.
This is a Windows machine and as such it supports a number of devices.
    Some of them are:
\NAND FLASH: (Internal flash memory) this is where the gps parameters and other parameters-options are saved
\StaticStore: (another internal flash memory) this is where the I9 folder is (and Filters, etc)
\Storage Card: this is the SD card
    \USB Disk: the usb drive
    etc...
(The names might differ on your machine but they should look similar)

    FIRST STEP
When I said * simply copy over the original Filters folder into the I9 folder*, this is what I meant:
1- copy the original Folders from skin 2.78 unto an sd card or usb drive.
2- insert Sd card or usb drive in unit and copy this Filters folder from USB or SD card to the \StaticStire\I9\Filters folder.
Check post#1 again to see how you can access the Windows desktop and copy files.
Try this first; at least to get you familiar with the process. And check how things work with the videos and radio. Should be quick to do.

    SECOND STEP
If that doesn't work, chances are your unit memory is corrupted or doesn't have the right MCU or OS or UI versions.
If you are willing to lose all your settings, music, pictures, videos, etc. you installed previously, then you can try to reinstall Windows CE.
After you do, you will also have to reinstall one of the UI-skin. And then reinstall your music, videos, etc. Again post#1..

    QUESTIONS (before we try anything...)
Did you try to install any other MCU or UI skin in your unit?
You said these were the original versions: are you sure?
    Shell: 2.78.10
    OS: EN-Prima-ARM-SLC-V1.50
    MCU: D69TTRH7-BH-T1-V9.00

If not, then we will have to find out the original ones (or compatible) and reinstall them first.
If yes, then try FIRST STEP.
If that doesn't work, then unfortunately, to be sure, you will have to do SECOND STEP.

It's a scary step but it usually goes smooth; unless your unit is broken of course...

Thanks Bulle, you have no idea how much I appreciate your help. LIFESAVER!!!

I have fixed everything. Once you pointed out the \StaticStire\I9\Filters folder I had no trouble finding it and replacing the files. Once this was done my video was restored. Thanks.

As for the volume being at full blast with no control to turn down, that was really bothering me as I could not remember effecting any changes. That is until I recalled playing with the hidden menu on the DVD screen. Sure enough, I had inadvertently changed the EAMP (this is used to turn off or on an External Amp like JBL) to "E". Once I returned the setting to "I" my volume worked as normal.

So all is good now. One last thing, can anyone point me to a post that talks about the type of video movies supported. I am looking for details as to best sizing and construct. Seems I have some AVI/MP4 that play, and other that don't. Some fill the whole screen and others don't. I want to find some good solid settings that I can set my Audials Converter to so all will size well and play. I tried the search feture but can up with nothing solid.

I'm glad it's working for you now!

    About the video formats...
Most people use mp4 I think.
But I'm not sure if anybody ever tested the best formats for this unit yet.

If you do find anything, please let us know!

I've got a roadrover HU that supports USB and SD.
The navigator path points to the SD as \Storage Card\NavIQ\... shown in the image.

I'm not sure what I did, but now the HU is not able to detect the SD.
I can hear the device connected and disconnected chime when I remove and plug in the SD card.

I did these steps before I discovered the SD stops working.
    1. Plugged in USB with Update.exe.
    2. Powered on.
    3. Click the Update button but that could not detect update.exe.
    4. Clicked on Browse (yes, the navigator's) to see would that work
I cannot remember did I manage to see the USB at this stage. It could have and I selected Update.exe.
    5. But update still could not work. I stopped here
    6. I stopped and and decided to go to Display to change the UI.
    7. I managed to select and import some UI but did not find them suitable. So I switched back to the original UI.
    8. There is a File application which then I finally managed to launch update to get into CE desktop.
    9. After I ran the manager, I saw the navigator path became \USB Disk\Update.exe
    10. I opened \StaticStore\I9\Navigator.ini file and found it to have changed to \USB Disk\Update.exe
    11. I edited the file back to \Storage Card\ ... but it no longer works.
Would anyone know what happed to the SD detection?
The SD card is ok. It can be read on a computer.

    Hello Kiat,

It looks like you SD card is either corrupted or not formatted properly.
If you can read it on a PC then it's probably in the wrong format. Unless your HU is broken.

There are a few things you need to check...
    1) Make sure your USB or SD cards are formatted using the FAT format; other formats are not always recognized.
    2) Try with different USB or SD cards; sometimes they get corrupted or not recognized at all; happens to me often.
    3) Make sure you copy a good Update.exe file on your SD card; there's one on post #1 in this thread.

Oh and it would be nice of you if you can zip the contents of your I9 folder and post it or send it to me.
You have a new UI version and it would be nice to see if we can test it so other users can use it.

    Let us know,
    Bulle

    1. The SD card and it's navigation app has been working properly, although the last time I used Nav was a few weeks ago. I don't use it that often but I've never removed it from the SD slot until this issue occurred. So I could rule out it's caused by FAT format issue.
    2. I will FAT format another SD card, to check can that be detected. Besides this, any other ways to verify is the SD slot still working, or had broke?
    3. It is possible another UI could have broken something? The reason I used back the original UI was because there was missing buttons in the UI I copied from here.
    4. I was using FAT32 on my USB drive. Am I right to believe the update.exe I used from this forum is a good copy since I could run it and got into the desktop. I ran it from File (see image), instead of the update button though.
Sure I will share the UI with you, how can I send it over?

    1. Leaving the sd card inside is OK of course; but not necessarily a proof that the sd card is still ok; it can get broken easily.
    2. yes. Run update.exe again from the USB, go to Windows desktop and open MyDevice. You should see a list of disks and medias including USB's, memory disk and of course SD's. You SD card device should be there. If yes, you should be able to open it and see the files inside. If not, there's a problem with the sd device; in this case, try to reset the unit (reset hole if you have one). Or power off completely (disconnect the unit) and restart (that will be like a reboot). If device is not restored we might have to reinstall your specific version of Windows CE.
    3. Not possible I think. The UI is just a data file read by the same program every time. Should not break anything.
    4. Yes this file should be OK.
    5. You should be able to attach the zip file here in your next post. Or you can send it to me as a private message if you want. (*Start conversation* under my Bulle icon.

I have private messaged you the zip.

Would the SD device always be listed, regardless is there a SD card plugged in or not?
Would reset erase everything? There might be some files installed by the local seller.
