2016 Prius 3 Alarm

    I wanted to get the OEM alarm from Toyota but said it's not available. Is that true? Anybody have an alarm installed on your Gen 4? The prius chat store even has an OEM alarm available?...

    What do you mean by "alarm"? Are you saying a 2016 car doesn't have an alarm?

    Ok the "security system" that's for sale on the prius chat store for $359. Toyota dealer said that it wasn't compatible with the Gen 4. Just wondering if anyone else has this "security system" installed?

    It better be compatible because we just paid 600 to the dealer on Friday when we bought our four touring. I'll let you know how it goes next week after it gets installed.

    What car did you get. Some have the safety connect which exceeds all alarm requirements for insurance.

    I finally got it installed today. Here is the owners manual. The first time we took it in they realized they had the wrong alarm and it took them a month to get the correct one, but once they did they had it installed in about half a day.
