Stress crack in hatch

    I found this crack on my car. Is there a way I can seal it so no damage occurs. I understand Voukd cost over a thousand to fix. There is no indication C impact or anything. Looks like a stress crack

    welcome! never seen anything like it. it's aluminum, so, repair may be difficult. how about a salvage unit?

    just buy a used piece and replace it.

    it's not the hatch then, can you take a pic from further away?

    No it's right under the glass and it covers the handle that's used to open up the hatch opens fine it's a very small crack right under the glass and it's above the opening where the license plate is it's to the right of the handle that opens the door the hutch rather

    check in at a hardware store, there must be something that will fill and fuse that together. i wonder if bondo would work.

    A legit body shop can plastic weld that rack for you and respray the area if cosmetics are a concern.
