Gen 4 Prius EV Range

    I know that EV range is really the forthcoming Prime's territory, but does anyone know or have experience of roughly how far the Gen4 will go from cold without using the ICE?

    P.S. What is it with Toyota's options pricing in the UK? £750 for Sat Nav?! That pricing is 10 years out of date! Hundreds extra for parking sensors that cost a few pounds each and arguable should be fitted as standard these days. I know there is a rear camera but sensors are still needed on the front at least, aren't they?. Rain sensing wipers only on the top model? Other manufacturers offer such things as standard, don't they? OK this Prius has a lot of other good stuff as standard, but it does seem a shame to skimp on these other things, and then make them so expensive as options too.

    To my knowledge and what I have read it is about the same as Gen3.
    As for pricing and options in the Gen4, I can only agree as the same is similar in Germany. The rain sensor thing is also absurd. Safety Sense standard in all trim, and the thing that enables to make sure you actually see through the windshield in case of sudden events (car changing lanes on a wet highway, is not available except on the top trim, which offers by the way very few reasons to be bought.
    I don't want an integrated navigation system in my car, it obsoletes fast, and it costs way too much. A 300€ max Tomtom with 6in screen, latest tech and real-time traffic based on reliable mobile phones' position data, is light years away from whatever Toyota, or others, can offer at a fraction of the price.
    Also, parking sensors should be standard, end of story. Offering them at very high prices as an option (btw after sales, they are mounted by the dealer at delivery), it's ridiculous and outdated. Especially for EU markets where parking is never an easy task.
    They probably do all this to keep the price "low", when in fact you end up paying more because you really believe those are not optionals but necessary things.
    BTW: a visit to the VW configuration for a Golf is an eye opener. In comparison Toyota is a luxury car at an affordable price....
