Just replaced my 12 volt battery in the parking lot of my local batteries plus store. Just need a socket set with a 12 inch extension and a flat head screwdriver. The store let me use there memory saver that they hooked for me so I didn't lose any settings or initialize the windows or tire monitor. 20 min $190 piece of cake. Don't let the dealer bend you over for $450. Hope this helps.

Well good for the OP! When I went buy a 12V, my Interstate Battery retail store wouldn't sell me one citing some BS exclusive agreement with the local Toyota dealership. BOHICA

i doubt it. shop around for an exact fit with correct size and orientation posts and vent tube orifice. optima, exide, duracell, there are 4 or 5 exact replacements i believe.

Deal with a store or web retailer that'll allow you to enter vehicle and confirm compatiblity.

If it is the same battery for a Gen2 when I replaced mine the only options were Toyota and Optima Yellow Top because of the vent system as far as I know. That has been several years ago and I don't know if anyone else has gotten into the game since.

The Toyota batteries are the AGM Type.

There are more options on the mainland, but looking online at Pep Boys Puerto Rico locations, they seem to only have Optima Yellow Top. Hmm.
