my 2010 has 190k and for the last 20k it's been burning about 2 qts per 10k. No oil on the ground. Is the a recommend oil additive to syn 0 - 20 oil to help with seals/rings?

2qts per 10k is not bad at all. Just keep topping off when needed

it has 190,000 miles. change the oil at 5,000 mile intervals, check and top up every 1,000 miles, it's only going to get worse. have you considered 5w-20 dino?

FWIW, It seems that as time has gone by, oil burning is becoming the norm on the Gen III high mileage units. It is a shame the amount of post's similar to this are occurring.

It wasn't at all unusual in the 1950s. By the 1990s, not so much---excluding cases of abuse or neglect, and a few buggy engine designs. Lately, we seem to have regressed on that front.
